WATCH: Tim Walz Calls On Democrats To ‘Bully’ Trump In Unhinged Speech
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz urged Democrats to adopt a more aggressive stance and to “bully the sh**” out of President Donald Trump while addressing an audience in South Carolina.
The former vice presidential candidate served as the keynote speaker at a Democrat-organized gathering on Saturday, where he frequently criticized the Trump Administration in a speech filled with profanity. “Perhaps it is time for us to be a bit meaner, a little more fierce,” Walz stated, eliciting cheers and applause from the crowd.
“What disturbs a teacher more than anything is witnessing a bully,” the governor remarked. “When it involves a child, you engage with them and explain why bullying is unacceptable.”
“However, when it concerns an adult like Donald Trump, you retaliate and bully the s–t out of him in return,” Walz added, subsequently labeling the president as a “wannabe dictator.”
“Donald represents the existential threat we anticipated,” the unsuccessful vice presidential candidate declared during another segment of his Saturday morning address, noting that Democrats face a “challenging few years” ahead.
“We possess the courage, and we must utilize it to confront the bullies and the greed,” Walz emphasized during his speech.
Walz has been giving several speeches in predominantly red or purple states in anticipation of what many political analysts consider a precursor to a presidential campaign in 2028. However, according to a recent YouGov poll, the governor may face a repeat of the highly unsuccessful Harris-Walz ticket should he choose to run.
Despite his name recognition and attempts to connect with rural voters, only three percent of Democrats identified Walz as the “leader” of the party when surveyed last month. The governor is significantly trailing behind several notable Democrats, including Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
The outcomes were considerably more favorable for Walz when inquiring about the presidential race itself, although he still lags behind former Vice President Kamala Harris, who emerged as the clear polling leader with 58 percent of respondents indicating they would consider supporting her in the primary. In contrast, Walz stands at 38 percent, tied with Ocasio-Cortez and only slightly ahead of Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
