
A Broadway star has passed away. Jennifer Harmon, known for her many Broadway and soap opera appearances, including in How to Survive a Marriage, has died at 82.
Jennifer Harmon’s passing was confirmed in a brief obituary. Born on Dec. 3, 1943, in Pasadena, California, she made her first major television role in the soap opera How to Survive a Marriage in both 1974 and 1975.
She followed it up starring in One Life to Live, appearing as Cathy Craig Lord from 1976 to 1978. Her performance led to Harmon’s nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1978 for her role on One Life to Live.
Harmon also starred in several other soap operas, including Another World, Loving, and Guiding Light. However, it was on Broadway that she would become a huge star. In total, Jennifer Harmon appeared in a total of 21 Broadway productions in her career.

Some of her credits include The School for Scandal in 1966, as well as the 1995 revival; Blithe Spirit in 1987; The Little Foxes in 1997; Amy’s View in 199; and The Glass Menagerie in 2005. Her last appearance was in 2011, in Other Desert Cities.
Harmon worked as an understudy to several stars, including Stockard Channing, Judi Dench, and Jessica Lange. Other television credits include Dallas, Law & Order, and The Good Wife.
