Mariah Carey’s daughter stuns fans with her beauty and ”same curls” as he mom
We’ve seen plenty of kids who look just like their celebrity moms or dads.
And now it’s time to add another name to that list.
”You got beauty like MaMa diva Mariah”
Talk of Monroe Cannon’s incredible resemblance to her famous mom is heating up online, coming just after the teen spoke out about her family tree and dynamics.
Monroe Cannon, 14, is the daughter of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Recently, she wowed fans in a new Instagram carousel.
In the photos, she rocked a red graphic tee layered over a black long-sleeve, her signature curls framing her face as she posed with playful winks, puckered lips, and cheeky tongue-out shots. In a boomerang, she struck hands-on-hips poses and gave a double thumbs-up, radiating confidence and humor. Her caption, simply “,” hinted at performance and artistry, befitting the daughter of two entertainers.
Monroe usually keeps a low profile online, but her latest photos sent fans into a frenzy. They quickly noticed her resemblance to Mariah. “OMG SHE LOOKS LIKE MARIAH WHEN SHE FIRST CAME OUT!!! So pretty!!” one gushed.
Another wrote, “Girl you got beauty like MaMa diva Mariah ❤️,” while someone else called her “the prettiest cannon [sic].”
Others highlighted her features: “You look just like your mum, you have the same curls ,” and “Adore the hair and eyebrows. Those eyebrows are divine ✨.”
Monroe’s post also sparked conversation about her recent remarks on her family.
She previously clarified in an Instagram Story that she has “ONE brother” — her twin Moroccan — while her father’s other children are half-siblings significantly younger than her. Many fans praised her honesty.
One noted, “She’s not wrong though [sic]. Also shows that his other children are not close to each other at all,” while another defended her right to speak her truth: “Leave her alone. She is a child and it’s not her responsibility to claim them. She told no lie. They are her half siblings. That’s not her problem that her father had all those children [sic].”
Named after Mariah’s idol
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot on April 30, 2008, in the Bahamas.
Sadly, Carey had a miscarriage that same year. A few years later, at 35 weeks, she gave birth to their fraternal twins, Moroccan and Monroe, via C-section on April 30, 2011.
Monroe was named after Mariah’s idol, Marilyn Monroe. She is known notably for voicing Michelle in the 2017 animated film “All I Want For Christmas is You” and her appearance on her mother’s reality show “Mariah’s World.”
Monroe was 5 when Mariah & Nick got divorced .

Since the divorce, Cannon’s family tree started branching at a remarkable pace.
In addition to twins Monroe and Moroccan, he shares children with six other women: Rise Messiah, Golden Sagon, and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; Beautiful Zeppelin, Zion, and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole.
Two more children, Zen Cannon (who tragically passed at five months) and Halo, were born to Alyssa Scott.
The loss of Zen in 2021 left Nick devastated. Reflecting on the brief time with his son, he shared, “I see it as a blessing that I got to be there. Alyssa says, ‘I think he was just waiting for you.’ My heart is shattered. I wish I could have done more, spent more time with him, taken more pictures.”
He later added on his daytime show, “We had a short time with a true angel. I wish I could have hugged him longer.”

Nick Cannon has often praised Monroe, especially during tough times. After the heartbreaking loss of his son Zen, he highlighted how grounding she was for him. He told Peoople, “My daughter, really, she’s so in tune and in line and wise beyond her years. I got a lot of therapists, but she’s probably my best therapist.”
He also joked about her taking the lead among the twins, saying, “She came out first and she lets everybody know it.” Any twin would recognize that as classic firstborn energy.
Even with all that praise, Monroe seems really grounded and down-to-earth, and we hope it stays that way. What do you think — does she take after her mom? Share your thoughts in the comments!
